WildPins community standards
Be respectful to people. Be respectful to wildlife.
These guidelines apply when you create groups, post discussions, reply, share community hunts, or otherwise participate with other WildPins members.
Community Guidelines
1. Treat people with respect
No harassment, bullying, hate, threats, stalking, unwanted sexual content, or attacks based on personal characteristics. Disagree with ideas without attacking the person.
2. Put wildlife welfare first
Do not encourage chasing, feeding, handling, baiting, trapping, cornering, or disturbing wildlife for a photo, identification, or scavenger-hunt completion. Follow posted closures and viewing-distance rules.
3. Protect sensitive locations
Do not publish precise locations for nests, dens, roosts, threatened species, or other wildlife that could be harmed by increased attention. WildPins may reduce or hide location detail when needed for safety or conservation.
4. Separate community advice from official rules
Fishing, hunting, park access, permits, seasons, closures, and safety rules can change. Link to the responsible official agency when presenting regulations as fact.
5. Keep posts genuine
No spam, scams, impersonation, coordinated manipulation, deliberately false sightings, stolen photos, or deceptive identification claims.
6. Use reporting tools when something is wrong
Report content or users that violate these guidelines. Blocking is available when you do not want to interact with another member. WildPins may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or take other moderation action when necessary.
